Bourgogne Pinot Noir
Réserve du Bastion 2016

Grape Variety : Pinot Noir

Soil : Clay and limestone from the Jurassic with a soil texture more or less deep depending on the plots.

Site : Grapes are exclusively sourced from selected vineyards in the Côte de Nuits and from Terroirs located in the south of the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise.

The Vintage 2016 : After a cool and rainy winter and a frost episode in April, the weather at the end of spring was warmer but rainy which engendered a late flowering and produced small berries in many plots (millerandage). The summer was warm and dry. September was warm and the harvest took place mid September under a bright sunshine. The red wines are crunchy and well-balanced with a very pure fruit. Aging during 11 months.

Tasting : Bright red colour. Intense aromas of crisp raspberries and red berries mixed with spices. Complex and well-structured. Dense with a soft texture and well-integrated tannins. Long and refreshing aftertaste.

Food pairing : Super classic Burgundy, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as meat-sauced pastas.
