Santenay 2003
Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Limestone mixed with clay
Site : The vineyard is located on the hill of the commune of Santenay, a small village South of the Côte de Beaune, near Chassagne Montrachet
The Vintage 2003 : Exceptional due to a warm summer which incited an early harvest before the end of august. Low yields. Outstanding concentration and fully matured during the harvest.
Tasting : Ruby colour with vermilion tinges. Aromas of cherry jam, mocha enhanced by a hint of vanilla. Charming, complex and ample with a good tannic structure
Food pairing : To be enjoyed with roast meat or meat en sauce, games and most cheeses (especially Citeaux, Epoisses, Langres).
