Saint Véran 2006

Saint-Véran 2006

Grape Variety : Chardonnay

Soil : Clay and limestone

Site : The Saint Véran vineyards are located in the very South of the Maconnais area on the communes of Saint Vérand, Chânes, Chasselas, Leynes, Prissé and Davayé.

The Vintage 2006 : The weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. However, the sun appeared at the end of August and continued throughout September. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced beautiful white wines with fantastic acidity.

Tasting : Pale gold colour. Aromas of citrus fruit mixed with vanilla and enhanced by a delicate minerality. Well-balanced, well-structured and generous. Well-integrated acidity with and long finish.

Food pairing : Charcuteries, sea-food, fish, snails as well as some goat cheeses.
