Site : Located between the villages of Chassagne Montrachet and Puligny Montrachet is the village of Saint Aubin. "Les Pitengerets" is among one of the best Premiers Crus, located close to the famous Chassagne Montrachet.
The Vintage 2006 : The weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. However, the sun appeared at the end of August and continued throughout September. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced beautiful white wines with fantastic acidity. Aged in French oak for 8 months.
Tasting : Pale gold colour with emerald tinges. Aromas of exotic fruit (mango) and hazelnut with a hint of vanilla. Beautiful structure. Round and generous. Mineral with delicate hints of oak. Long and linear finish.
Food pairing : Foie gras, seafood, fish in a creamy sauce, white meat and a variety of regional cheeses, in particular Époisses, Roquefort and Munster.
