Rully 2004
Grape Variety : Chardonnay
Soil : Mix of clay and limestone
Site : On the hill in the heart of Côte Chalonnaise, the "terroirs" of Rully are perfectly suited for Chardonnay.
The Vintage 2004 : Harvest took place at the end of September after a cool and humid Summer with short periods of very hot weather. The "tri", sorting of the grapes was drastic to keep only the very ripe berries.
Tasting : Pale gold colour with green nuances. Very refreshing aromas of green almond and fern enhanced by a good minerality. Well-balanced and well-structured. Very refreshing, fruity with a good aromatic combination. Good minerality and long finish.
Food pairing : To be enjoyed with charcuterie and poultry as well as some goat cheeses.
