Rully 2003

Rully 2003

Grape Variety : Chardonnay

Soil : Mix of clay and limestone

Site : On the hill in the heart of Côte Chalonnaise, the "terroirs" of Rully are perfectly suited for Chardonnay.

The Vintage 2003 : An exceptionally early harvest end of August due to an unusual hot summer. Grapes were extremely well mature with high concentration. Very low yields.

Tasting : Bright gold colour with emerald tinges Aromas of pale fleshed fruit (peach, apricot), honey and fresh almonds enhanced by a hint of spice. A silky and concentrated wine developing a beautiful fruit combination. It is well structured and generous with a mellowness underlined by a lingering note of honey.

Food pairing : To be enjoyed with charcuterie and poultry as well as some goat cheeses.
