Pernand-Vergelesses Les Vergelesses
1er Cru
2009

Grape Variety : Pinot Noir

Soil : Clay and limestone

Site : Chanson owns a vineyard of 5.4 hectares in premier Cru "Les Vergelesses". One of the plots of this vineyard has been selected to produce this Pernand-Vergelesses village.

The Vintage 2009 : After a cold winter and a beautiful spring, the hot summer was interrupted by stormy intervals which fortuitously took place when needed and thus facilitated growth and good maturation of the grapes. Harvest began early September with excellent weather conditions. Aging in oak during 18 months.

Tasting : Bright ruby. Intense aromas of red berries mixed with chocolate and spices. Delicate vanilla note. Complex, concentrated. Dense. Beautiful texture. Very pure aromas. Well-crafted tannins. Long and refreshing aftertaste.

Food pairing : Enjoy with grilled steak and a wide selection of French cheeses, in particular Brie.
