Site : South of the hill of Corton Chanson owns a vineyard of 5.4 hectares in "Les Vergelesses", the most famous Premier Cru in Pernand which has given its name to the village.
The Vintage 2005 : Harvest took place in the early days of September after a dry and very hot summer after a superb growing season - long and cold winter followed by a rainy and humid spring. Exceptional weather conditions for an exceptional vintage. Full maturation of the grapes and good concentration. Aging in cask during 14 months.
Tasting : Bright ruby colour. Intense aromas of peony, preserved red berries (strawberry) and liquorice drop on a delicate vanilla note. Concentrated, round and complex. Beautiful aromatic combination on the fruit. Well-integrated oak note and well-shaped tannins. Good persistence.
Food pairing : Enjoy with grilled steak and a wide selection of French cheeses, in particular Brie.
