Pernand-Vergelesses Chardonnay 2003
Grape Variety : Chardonnay
Soil : Clay and limestone
Site : In the Northern part of the Côte de Beaune, in the commune of Pernand Vergelesses.
The Vintage 2003 : Exceptional due to a warm summer which incited an early harvest before the end of august. Low yields. Outstanding concentration and fully matured during the harvest.
Tasting : Pale gold colour with emerald tinges. Intense floral fragrances mixed ripe pale fleshed fruit (peach) on a beautiful vanilla note. Elegant and appealing. Well-balanced, generous and harmonious. Long finish.
Food pairing : Seafood, fish grilled or "en sauce" as well as some mild cheeses.
