Moulin-à-Vent 2005
Grape Variety : Gamay
Soil : Granit
Site : One of the most famous crus of the Beaujolais. The area of production is located in the southern part of the villages of Chenas in the Saône & Loire Department and in Romanèche Thorins in the Rhône Department on the sides of a hill overlooked by a windmill, hence the name of the wine.
The Vintage 2005 : Harvest took place in the early days of September after a dry and very hot summer after a superb growing season - long and cold winter followed by a rainy and humid spring. Exceptional weather conditions for an exceptional vintage. Full maturation of the grapes and good concentration
Tasting : Intense ruby colour with violet nuances. Very refreshing aromas of red berries (red-currant, raspberry) with a gentle spiciness and a hint of liquorice. Well-balanced, generous and concentrated. Good aromatic combination on the fruit and good tannic structure.
Food pairing : Cooked pork meat "Charcuterie", barbecue and all sorts of mild cheeses.
