Meursault Blagny 1er Cru 2009

Meursault Blagny
1er Cru
2009

Grape Variety : Chardonnay

Soil : Clay and limestone

Site : The area of production is located in the hamlet of Blagny, located at the top of the hill above the village of Puligny Montrachet. "Meursault Blagny" is a plot located on the upper part of the hill on the boundaries of the Puligny Montrachet Premiers Crus area.

The Vintage 2009 : After a cold winter and a beautiful spring, the hot summer was interrupted by stormy intervals which fortuitously took place when needed and thus facilitated growth and good maturation of the grapes. Harvest began early September with excellent weather conditions. Aging in oak during 13 months

Tasting : Bright gold colour. Intense aromas of pear mixed with honey and grilled almonds. Subdued minerality with a hint of vanilla. Elegant and delicate. Beautiful structure. Well-defined minerality and a well-integrated oak note. Long aftertaste.

Food pairing : To be enjoyed with "foie gras", seafood, fish and goat's cheese.
