Mâcon Villages 2006
Grape Variety : Chardonnay
Soil : Clay and limestone
Site : In the South of Burgundy, in the Mâconnais. An area located between the communes of Mâcon, Lugny and Tournus.
The Vintage 2006 : The weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. However, the sun appeared at the end of August and continued throughout September. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced beautiful white wines with fantastic acidity.
Tasting : Pale gold colour. Delicate floral fragrances on a mineral note. Well balanced, crisp, well-crafted. Good minerality. Refreshing finish.
Food pairing : Charcuteries, fish and all sorts of mild cheeses.
