Mâcon-La Roche Vineuse 2015
Grape Variety : Chardonnay
Soil : Clay and limestone
Site : Roche Vineuse is a small terroir located in the Saône et Loire Department, in the villages of la Roche Vineuse, Hurigny and Chevagny-les-Chevrieres, in the vicinity of the famous cliffs of Solutré and Vergisson.
The Vintage 2015 : After a cold winter and a mild spring, the weather conditions in summer (with important differences of temperature between day and night from August onwards) were ideal and enabled a perfect maturation of the grapes. The harvest took place mid September under a bright sunshine. The white wines develop aromas of exotic fruit mixed with floral fragrances.
Tasting : Pale gold colour. Delicate floral fragrances mixed with citrus fruit aromas on a hint of minerality.. Well-balanced and crisp. Long aftertaste with zesty notes.
Food pairing : Poultry, grilled fish and goat cheese.
