Soil : Cllay-limestone

Site : Grapes are exclusively sourced from select vineyards in the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits, with 25% from the village of Marsannay.

The Vintage 2003 : Exceptional due to a warm summer which incited an early harvest before the end of august. Low yields. Outstanding concentration and fully matured during the harvest.

Tasting : Ruby red with purple tinges. Intense aromas of red berries (raspberry) "en confiture" enhanced by spicy nuances. It is lively with fine acidity. This wine is well-balanced, harmonious, generous, with a well-integrated tannin structure.

Food pairing : Super "everyday" Burgundy, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as meat-sauced pastas.
