Le Bourgogne Chardonnay 2004

Grape Variety : Chardonnay

Soil : Clay and limestone

Site : Mâconnais, Côte d'Or and more specifically Côte de Beaune with a part of the harvest of young vines of the Domaine.

The Vintage 2004 : Harvest took place at the end of September after a cool and humid Summer with short periods of very hot weather. The "tri", sorting of the grapes was drastic to keep only the very ripe berries.

Tasting : Pale gold colour with green nuances. Fresh floral fragrances mixed with pale fleshed fruit aromas (green apple) and fern. Well-structured and well-balanced, it is very crisp, fruity with a nice touch of minerality and hence quite a long finish.

Food pairing : Pâté, fish and "charcuterie" as well as some goat cheeses.
