Côte de Beaune Villages 2015
Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Limestone with clay
Site : Selected plots of vineyards in Côte de Beaune villages, mostly Pernand-Vergelesses, Auxey-Duresses and Ladoix.
The Vintage 2015 : After a cold winter and a mild spring, the weather conditions in Summer were ideal with cold nights and warm days and enabled a perfect maturation of the grapes. The harvest started early September under a bright sunshine. The red wines develop beautiful aromas of ripe red and black berries with a fleshy texture. Aging in oak casks during 13 months.
Tasting : Bright ruby. Delicate fragrances of peony mixed with intense aromas of ripe red fruit (cherries ) on a hint of spices. Well-balanced and well-structured. Very pure aromas. Well-integrated and elegant tannins. Persistant finish.
Food pairing : To be enjoyed with warm starters, white meat, matured cheeses.
