Côte de Beaune Villages 2013
Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Limestone with clay
Site : Selected plots of vineyards in Côte de Beaune villages, mostly Pernand-Vergelesses, Auxey-Duresses and Ladoix.
The Vintage 2013 : After a very cold winter and a cool and humid spring, the weather became really fine and warm end of July. The sunny weather and the warm temperatures engendered a slow ripening of the grapes. The harvest started mid September under a bright sunshine. The combination of all those climatic factors and meticulous vinifications have produced wines with very pure aromas and a crunchy texture.
Tasting : Bright ruby. Intense aromas of ripe red fruit (plum) mixed with spicy nuances. Well-balanced and well-structured. Very pure aromas. Elegant tannins. Persistant finish.
Food pairing : To be enjoyed with warm starters, white meat, matured cheeses.
