Côte de Beaune Villages 2008
Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Limestone with clay
Site : Selected plots of vineyards in Côte de Beaune villages, mostly Pernand-Vergelesses, Auxey-Duresses and Ladoix.
The Vintage 2008 : After a beautiful spring, the weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. It became fine again from the end of August with much sun and a cold wind, which aided concentration of flavours. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions under an Indian summer.
Tasting : Bright ruby. Intense aromas of red berries mixed with spicy nuances. Well-balanced and well-structured. Very pure fruit. Elegant tannins. Pleasant and refreshing finish.
Food pairing : To be enjoyed with warm starters, white meat, matured cheeses.
