Côte de Beaune Villages 2006

Grape Variety : Pinot Noir

Soil : Limestone with clay

Site : Selected plots of vineyards in Côte de Beaune villages, mostly Pernand-Vergelesses, Auxey-Duresses and Ladoix.

The Vintage 2006 : The weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. However, the sun appeared at the end of August and continued throughout September. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced beautiful wines with very pure aromas.

Tasting : Bright ruby. Intense aromas of violet and red-berry mixed with a touch of pepper. Concentrated, generous and well-structured. Very refreshing, aromatic and spicy. Well-shaped tannins. Good persistence.

Food pairing : To be enjoyed with warm starters, white meat, matured cheeses.
