Côte de Beaune Villages 1999
Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Limestone with clay
Site : Selected plots of vineyards in the villages of the Côte de Beaune, mostly Pernand-Vergelesses, Auxey-Duresses and Ladoix.
The Vintage 1999 : Ideal meteorological conditions. Pluviometry limited. Optimal harvests conditions and good grapes maturity. Very good sanitary statement.
Tasting : Ruby colour. Aromas of raspberry and red berry mixed with spices and enhanced by a hint of vanilla. Appealing flavours of ripe raspberry and strawberry. Complex, well-structured, concentrated on a melted tannic structure, good persistence.
Food pairing : To be enjoyed with warm starters, white meat, matured cheeses.
