Site : The area of production is located on the hill of Corton, on a mid slope facing East above the villages of Aloxe Corton and Ladoix Serrigny.
The Vintage 1999 : Ideal meteorological conditions. Limited pluviometry. Optimal harvest conditions and good maturity of the grapes.
Tasting : Bright ruby colour. Intense aromas of cooked red fruit (cherry) and leather with a hint of spice. Outstanding vanilla note. Ample, generous, well-balanced and powerful. Good aromatic combination enhanced by a very refined oak note. Elegant tannic structure. Good persistence.
Food pairing : It is perfectly matched with red meat grilled or en sauce and all cheeses, especially the local cheeses like Epoisses or Citeaux.
