Site : A Chanson "monopole" in the very heart of the first Growths vineyards of Beaune. The vineyards covering 3.80 ha is located on a mid slope. The "Clos des Fèves" was already known in the 14th century under the latin word "Fae"

The Vintage 2005 : Harvest took place in the early days of September after a dry and very hot summer after a superb growing season - long and cold winter followed by a rainy and humid spring. Exceptional weather conditions for an exceptional vintage. Full maturation of the grapes and good concentration. Aging in oak casks during 13 months

Tasting : Bright ruby colour with purple tinges. Intense aromas of cooked red berries (raspberry, cherry) and coffee toffees mixed with spices . Beautiful vanilla note. Ample, concentrated, generous and well-structured. deep fruit Well-shaped tannins. Good persistence.

Food pairing : Game (pheasant), poultry and all the classic cheeses (Epoisses, Langres).
