Clos de Vougeot
Grand Cru 1997
Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Clay and limestone
Site : The vineyard is ideally located in the heart of the famous Clos de Vougeot, nearby the Chateau.
The Vintage 1997 : Harvest took place at the end of September after a mitigated Summer. It was as a whole homogeneous.
Tasting : Fairly deep ruby with orange-brick reflections. Intense aromas of cooked red berries and cooked red plum mixed with leather and enhanced by spicy aromas and a subtle oak note. Elegant, appealing and well structured with a soft and very harmonious tannic structure.
Food pairing : It is perfectly matched with red meat grilled or en sauce and all cheeses, especially the local cheeses like Epoisses or Citeaux.
