Chambolle-Musigny 2009
Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Clay and limestone
Site : Chambolle Musigny is a small village located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits between Gevrey Chambertin and Clos de Vougeot
The Vintage 2009 : After a cold winter and a beautiful spring, the hot summer was interrupted by stormy intervals which fortuitously took place when needed and thus facilitated growth and good maturation of the grapes. Harvest began early September with excellent weather conditions. Aging in oak during 16 months.
Tasting : Dark ruby colour. Very pure aromas of red berries (red berry) mixed with spices. Beautiful vanilla note. Well-balanced. Deep with a beautiful texture and a very pure aromatic definition. Well integrated tannins. Subtle oak note. Long aftertaste.
Food pairing : Poultry, grilled meat or "en sauce" and all the classic cheeses (Epoisses, Langres).
