Chambolle Musigny 2005

Chambolle-Musigny 2005

Grape Variety : Pinot Noir

Soil : Clay and limestone

Site : Chambolle Musigny is a small village located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits between Gevrey Chambertin and Clos de Vougeot

The Vintage 2005 : Harvest took place in the early days of September after a dry and very hot summer after a superb growing season - long and cold winter followed by a rainy and humid spring. Exceptional weather conditions for an exceptional vintage. Full maturation of the grapes and good concentration. Aging in oak casks during 15 months.

Tasting : Dark ruby colour. Very pure aromas of blackberry and raspberry mixed with toasty nuances and spices. Beautiful vanilla note. Generous, ample and well-balanced. Good aromatic density. Well defined tannins and good persistence.

Food pairing : Poultry, grilled meat or "en sauce" and all the classic cheeses (Epoisses, Langres).
