Chablis Premier Cru Fourchaumes 2009

Chablis Fourchaumes
1er Cru 2009

Grape Variety : Chardonnay

Soil : Limestone

Site : This Premier Cru of Chablis is located at the northern border of the Grands Crus area on the right side of the Serein River.

The Vintage 2009 : After a cold winter and a beautiful spring, the hot summer was interrupted by stormy intervals which fortuitously took place when needed and thus facilitated growth and good maturation of the grapes. Harvest began early September with excellent weather conditions. Aging in oak (demi-muids) during 11 months.

Tasting : Pale gold colour. Refreshing aromas of grapefruit mixed with oriental spices. Delicate minerality. Dense, crisp and well-balanced. Very pure fruit. Precise minerality and well-integrated acidity. Long and generous finish.

Food pairing : Pâté, seascallop, turbot, poularde in a creamy sauce as well as many goat cheeses.
