Chablis Les Clos
Grand Cru 2009

Grape Variety : Chardonnay

Soil : Limestone

Site : "Les Clos" is one of the most famous Grands Crus of Chablis. The area of production covers 24.75 ha. The vines selected by Chanson are ideally located right in the heart of the plot. The upper part of the plot brings the minerality and the lower part with alluvion deposits gives the rich character of this wine.

The Vintage 2009 : After a cold winter and a beautiful spring, the hot summer was interrupted by stormy intervals which fortuitously took place when needed and thus facilitated growth and good maturation of the grapes. Harvest began early September with excellent weather conditions. Aging in oak (demi-muids) during 13 months.

Tasting : Pale gold colour. Intense aromas of ripe yellow fruit mixed honey. Subtle vanilla note and expressive minerality. Generous and elegant. Very pure fruit aromas. Refined. Complex and well-shaped minerality. Long aftertaste.

Food pairing : Foie gras, shellfish, fish, white meat as well as some goat cheeses.
