Chablis Grand Cru Bougros 2013

Chablis Bougros
Grand Cru 2013

Grape Variety : Chardonnay

Soil : Kimmeridgien

Site : Bougros is the plot located at the western end of the Grand Cru area in Chablis. It covers 12.6 ha. The vines selected by Chanson are ideally located right in the heart of the plot. The upper part of the plot brings the minerality and the lower part with alluvion deposits gives the rich character of this wine.

The Vintage 2013 : After a long winter and a gloomy spring, the summer was warm and sunny but with intervals of violent hail storms. The harvest took place in the last days of September under a bright sunshine. The difficult weather conditions at the beginning of the year and the hail storms have considerably impacted the yields in most of the wine regions but quality is there. The white wines are tense with citrus fruit aromas and a well-shaped acidity. Aging in oak during 9 months (demi-muids casks).

Tasting : Gold colour. Aromas of pale fleshed fruit mixed with light zesty notes. Delicate minerality. Precise with a chalky texture. Well-integrated minerality. Long finish with salty tinges.

Food pairing : .Foie gras, shellfish, fish, white meat as well as some goat cheeses.
