Chablis 2005
Grape Variety : Chardonnay
Soil : Limestone
Site : Plot-based selection on hills ideally located south of the village of Chablis.
The Vintage 2005 : Exceptional weather conditions during the growing season have made for an exceptional vintage. First there was a long and cold winter, followed by a rainy and humid spring. The summer was very dry and hot. Harvest took place in the early days of September. The wines have full maturity and great concentration.
Tasting : Pale gold colour. Floral fragrances, white fruit aromas, and lovely minerality. Crisp, balanced and well-structured. Harmonious with a long finish.
Food pairing : Pâté, lobsters and poultry as well as some goat cheeses.
