Brouilly 2013
Grape Variety : Gamay
Soil : Granite
Site : One of the most famous crus of the Beaujolais. The area of production covers the communes of Odenas, Saint-Lager, Quincié, Cercié, Charentay et Saint-Etienne-La-Varenne in the Rhône département.
The Vintage 2013 : After a very cold winter and a cool and humid spring, the weather became really fine and warm end of July. The sunny weather and the warm temperatures engendered a slow ripening process of the grapes. The harvest commenced mid September under a bright sunshine. The combination of all those climatic factors and meticulous vinifications have produced wines with very pure aromas and a crunchy texture.
Tasting : Bright ruby colour. Intense aromas of raspberries mixed with spicy nuances. Well-balanced, with a beautiful fruit combination. Refreshing aftertaste.
Food pairing : Cooked pork meat "charcuterie", barbecue and all sorts of mild cheeses.
