Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits 2005

Grape Variety : Pinot Noir

Soil : Clay and limestone

Site : The area of production is located on the most sunny slopes of the hills near the Côte de Nuits. It is spread over 16 villages of the Côte de Nuits at an average Height of 300 to 400 metres.

The Vintage 2005 : Harvest took place in the early days of September after a dry and very hot summer after a superb growing season - long and cold winter followed by a rainy and humid spring. Exceptional weather conditions for an exceptional vintage. Full maturation of the grapes and good concentration.

Tasting : Ruby red with purple tinges. Intense aromas of red berries (red berry) with a hint of spice. Lively with a well-integrated acidity. Well-balanced and generous with well-shaped tannins.

Food pairing : Super "everyday" Burgundy, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as meat-sauced pastas.
