Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune 2005
Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Clay and limestone
Site : The vineyards are located in the Hautes Côtes, West of the Côte de Beaune, on hills at an average height of 200-300 meters.
The Vintage 2005 : Harvest took place in the early days of September after a dry and very hot summer after a superb growing season - long and cold winter followed by a rainy and humid spring. Exceptional weather conditions for an exceptional vintage. Full maturation of the grapes and good concentration.
Tasting : Bright ruby colour. Aromas of red berries, liquorice on a hint of spice. Generous and well-balanced with soft tannins. Lively with a good acidity.
Food pairing : Super "everyday" Burgundy, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as meat-sauced pastas.
