Beaune Teurons
1er Cru 2008
Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Mix of limestone and clay.
Site : In the heart of the Premier Cru vineyards of Domaine Chanson, this plot covers 4 hectares in the center of the Beaune territory.
The Vintage 2008 : After a beautiful spring, the weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. It became fine again from the end of August with much sun and a cold wind, which aided concentration of flavours. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions under an Indian summer. Aging in oak during 15 months
Tasting : Bright ruby. Delicate floral fragrances mixed with aromas of raspberry and strawberry. Delicate vanilla note. Well-balanced. Very fine texture. Very pure fruit. Well-crafted tannins. Delicate oak note. Long aftertaste. Wine Spectator - May 2011 : Score 91
Food pairing : Enjoy with red or white meat, "Boeuf Bourguignon" and variety of regional cheeses, in particular goat's cheese and Citeaux.
