Site : On the southern hill of Beaune, a vineyard of 2 hectares, mid slope facing East.
The Vintage 2001 : Harvest took place at the end of September after a late Summer. It was as a whole homogeneous but the "tri", sorting of the grapes was drastic to keep only the very ripe berries. Aging in oak cask during 18 months
Tasting : Bright ruby colour. Aromas of red berries and red plums with a hint of vanilla. This wine is classy and appealing. It develops beautiful aromas red berries and spices enhanced by subtle oak flavours. It is complex, harmonious and well-structured with a beautiful tannic structure.l
Food pairing : It is perfectly matched with red meat grilled or en sauce and all cheeses, especially the local cheeses like Epoisses or Citeaux.
