Beaujolais Villages 2009

Beaujolais-Villages 2009

Grape Variety : Gamay

Soil : Granit

Site : The area of production covers 39 villages in the Northern part of the Beaujolais region. Among all those villages are the famous 10 "Crus" of the Beaujolais : Moulin à Vent, Chiroubles, Régnié, Chenas, Saint Amour, Fleurie, Morgon, Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly et Julienas.

The Vintage 2009 : After a cold winter and a beautiful Spring, the hot Summer was interrupted by stormy intervals which fortuitously took place when needed and thus facilitated growth and good maturation of the grapes. Harvest began early September with excellent weather conditions.

Tasting : Bright ruby colour with purple nuances. Intense aromas of fresh red berries (raspberry and black currant) mixed with spices Lively, well-structured and supple. Refreshing aftertaste with liquorice notes.

Food pairing : Cooked pork meat "Charcuterie", regional meals and mild cheeses.
