Beaujolais Villages 2004

Beaujolais-Villages 2004

Grape Variety : Gamay

Soil : Granit

Site : The area of production covers 39 villages in the Northern part of the Beaujolais region. Among all those villages are the famous 10 "Crus" of the Beaujolais : Moulin à Vent, Chiroubles, Régnié, Chenas, Saint Amour, Fleurie, Morgon, Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly et Julienas.

The Vintage 2004 : Harvest took place at the end of september after a cool and humid Summer with short periods of very hot weather. The "tri", sorting of the grapes was drastic to keep only the very ripe and sound berries.

Tasting : Bright ruby colour with purple nuances. Aromas of red berries (red currant) on a spicy note. Refreshing, light and supple on a liquorice note enhanced by a gentle spiciness.

Food pairing : Cooked pork meat "Charcuterie", regional meals and mild cheeses.
