Aloxe-Corton 2006
Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Clay and limestone
Site : The vineyard is located at the foot of the Corton hill famous for the exceptional quality of its wine
The Vintage 2006 : The weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. However, the sun appeared at the end of August and continued throughout September. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced beautiful wines with very pure aromas. Aged in French oak for 14 months.
Tasting : Bright ruby colour. Aromas of red fruit (red berry) mixed with spices and leather with a hint of vanilla. Well-crafted, generous and well-balanced. Subtle oak note and well-shaped tannins. Good persistence.
Food pairing : Poultry, game, grilled meat as well as all the local cheeses (Epoisses, Langres...).
